Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
You will arrive in Arusha, Tanzania, to begin your untamed Tanzania safari. Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the local markets in Arusha town and enjoy a traditional Tanzanian dish at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Transfer to Katavi National Park
You will take an early morning flight to Katavi National Park, located in the remote western region of Tanzania. Upon arrival, our team will pick you up from the airstrip to commence your adventure in Katavi National Park.

Day 3 & 4: Explore Katavi National Park
You will explore Katavi National Park through game drives and walking safaris to delve into its untouched wilderness. Our knowledgeable guides will lead guided nature walks, providing insights into the park’s diverse ecosystem. Witness abundant wildlife and breathtaking landscapes during morning game drives. In the rainy season, observe crocodiles and hippos along Lake Chada and Lake Katavi. Spend evenings admiring the sunset while enjoying your favorite drink.

Day 5: Transfer to Mahale Mountains National Park
You will fly to Mahale Mountains National Park, a stunning sanctuary known for its chimpanzee population.

Day 6 & 7: Primate Tracking in Mahale Mountains
Embark on daily treks to track primates, guided by experienced trackers. Divided into small groups, you will hike various trails in search of chimpanzees. Spend an hour observing these fascinating primates as they engage in playful activities and grooming. Keep an eye out for other primate species like yellow baboons, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and vervet monkeys. Enjoy an evening cruise on the lake with sundowners or indulge in fishing.
Day 8: Transfer to Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha airport. From there, proceed to Kilimanjaro airport for your departure flight.
