Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, City Tour & Transfer to Hotel for Overnight
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, Dagiz Travel warmly welcomes you. Our knowledgeable tour guide will provide an overview of your 6 Days Rwanda Gorillas and Cultural Tour. After the briefing, embark on a captivating city tour, exploring the rich cultural aspects and setups of the Rwandan people. Visit craftsman shops for local souvenirs and Kemironko market to experience the typical Rwandan culture. Lunch will be served during the city tour. Following the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Visit Gisozi Genocide Center, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Start your day with breakfast before heading to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, located 15 kilometers from Kigali. Learn about the historical events of the 1994 genocide through poignant displays. Optionally, visit the national museum or enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to endangered mountain gorillas. Check in at the hotel/lodge and later visit the Iby’wachu Cultural Village to delve into Banyarwanda cultural practices. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing by senior park rangers. Embark on a journey through the jungle with your assigned lead guide for a memorable gorilla trekking adventure. Spend a maximum of 1 hour observing and photographing the gorillas. Return to the hotel for relaxation and, in the evening, engage in a cultural walk or nature walk. Dinner and overnight at your chosen accommodation.
Day 4: Dian Fossey Hike and Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, embark on a hike to Dian Fossey’s graves at Karisoke research center, exploring the life and work of the American Primatologist. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Lake Kivu. Enjoy leisure activities such as swimming, coffee tours, and boat kayaking. Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.
Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast, then transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park with en-route stopovers for photography and lunch. Arrive at the hotel and check in for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe, Depart to Kigali
After breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe Forest Park headquarters for a briefing from park rangers before embarking on a chimpanzee tracking adventure. Spend 1-3 hours in the forest to observe these incredible primates. Later, transfer back to Kigali with en-route visits to the King’s Palace at Nyanza, Butare Museums, and Murambi Genocide Memorial Site for additional cultural experiences.
