5 Days Rwanda Tour

5 Days Rwanda Tour

5 Days Rwanda Tour will offer you an opportunity to take part in some of the top activities while on a safari in Rwanda. The highlight of the tour is gorilla trekking at the Volcanoes national park Rwanda. Apart from the gorillas, you will also go for chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park. There is also golden monkey trekking, a cultural visit and a tour of the city of Kigali. Nyungwe, Akagera and the volcanoes national park are two of the top wildlife destinations in Rwanda. This tour doesn’t include a visit to Akagera National Park but can be included for those who are interested in a longer safari and participating in a standard game drive. Let’s discuss a little about Nyungwe and the Volcanoes National Park.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest

Begin your journey as a company guide picks you up from the airport or your hotel for a morning tour of Kigali. Explore the Genocide Memorial Centre, the former president’s palace, the main city market, and artisan shops. After the city tour, embark on a scenic 5-hour drive to Nyungwe Forest, stopping at key sites like the former King’s palace. Enjoy lunch at a selected hotel/restaurant along the route. Arrive at Nyungwe and check into your chosen accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Visit Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera

Enjoy a leisurely morning, savoring breakfast before checking out. Embark on a picturesque journey to Volcanoes National Park, passing by the stunning Lake Kivu. Capture the beauty of the Rwandan countryside with rolling hills and green plantations. Lunch will be taken along the route. Upon reaching the park, check-in, and rest before visiting the scenic twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Opt for a boat trip to explore the islands or watch birds if time allows.

In the evening, visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village for traditional dance performances and insights into Rwandan culture.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking – Departure
